Kyla & Logan - Take 2!

I can't believe how grown up they look! This shot was too precious, I am in the process of editing the rest. (As well as a couple other shoots!) But I wanted to get this up so mom could see!

And another one!

In the news!

Good morning everyone. I just wanted to let you know, in case you weren't up at 5 am to watch Daybreak, one of my photos was chosen as a finalist for the "kutest kids contest" sponsered by KATV and Bedford Camera & Video! I was so hoping for a new camera, BUT this was my first year to enter so maybe next year I'll bring it home! I did want to show you the photo that was chosen, and I am just tickled that a photo I took was considered one of the best in Arkansas!! (I already know I have the cutest kids!)

Here it is, as you all probably imagined, Jackson on the train tracks.

And believe it or not, this morning I have a brother and sister shoot (Kyla and Logan are back!) I can't believe it's almost been a year since their last shoot with me! We have already planned on visiting this exact spot. So come back soon for more cute kids!

Then Thursday will be 2 kids that are all grown up, Jesse and Tyler will be having their Senior photos taken in Little Rock!

Back to babies on Friday with 1 month old Eddie.

And last but not least, Saturday we will be celebrating Madi Grace's 3rd birthday in Conway!

Also make sure you come visit the blog this Friday! All of the information for Senior Idol will be posted, and it's looking like I'm not the only one wanting a new camera! Still in the lead by 3 votes, a digitial camera could be your Grand Prize as well, Seniors! This is not something you will want to pass up! Not only will there be great prizes, but discounts you will not believe! We have had 2 more sessions booked since the last time I posted, so call us ASAP to book your session.

I wanted to leave you all with a photo I took yesterday evening of my wonderful husband Darral. He came into the office and said, "Come with me!" I followed him back to Chloe's room where she was fast asleep. I was thinking as I was walking back, maybe she was doing something she hadn't done before! I couldn't imagine what, but of course I had my camera in hand! He rested his head on the side of her crib, turned back and all he said was, "Just look at her..." It was such a sweet moment, I just had to share.

Isn't she lovely?

I had to show you all my latest of Chloe Grace. I'm playing with some new stuff in photoshop and I love the look of these photos!

I also wanted to let you all know things are coming along great for the 1st Annual CJP Senior Idol Competition and we are so excited about it! It's looking as if the Grand Prize will be a digital camera! There are still a few days left to vote if you haven't gotten to yet. We have already booked 3 sessions for this and can't wait to get all the info up for you to see. This is going to be so much fun not only for us, but for you Seniors and your parents! If you already know you want to be a part of this, you can go ahead and set up your session for August. For those who want to wait on the details, August 1st is your day! So check back then for all the info.
Yesterday evening I took Hannah's Bridals at a beautiful home in Little Rock. WOW. I can't wait to show these off, but the happy couple won't be tying the knot for a little over a month, (in the Bahamas!) so I'll have to wait to post them.

Cars & Concerts

Every now and again, I will take some photos for the newspaper. This past weekend I was asked to take some at the Jason Campbell benefit concert at the high school football field. It was a great show, and I am not sure the actual turn out or money raised (I just take the photos) but the story and photos will run in the paper on the 23rd. So check it out b/c it was not only a great concert, but for a great cause! They have spoken about this being an annual concert, but I don't know all the details so stick to the paper for all of those!

I also wanted to post some photos I took at Fourche River Days this year of the Car Show that was held at Pat's Place. I had a friend contact me last week about wanting to buy some of these prints, so I thought maybe they might be "blog worthy" Hope you enjoy!

Sweet Sweet Baby

I want to introduce a new service I will be offering starting August 1st.

I had my first child, Jackson, in May of 2005. I will never forget, being so concerned with photos, how upsetting it was to me to only have a few photos to remember my sons first moments with me. Even when I had Chloe Grace in July of last year, my husband who was in charge of videoing the whole event, laid the video camera down on a table at the first moment to hold his daughter. (I don't blame him a bit, just so you know!) However, while the 10 minute shot of the ceiling and wall is nice, I would have loved to have someone else there with us, to take the photos of the first time he held his daughter, or the look on his face when he first laid eyes on her. It's something you can never get back. My friends and family were great with taking photos, but just as I, were more concerned with getting to hold the new baby!

One of my very best friends, Samantha, gave birth to a baby boy on Feb. 29th of this year. I asked her early on in her pregnancy if she would want for me to do this for her, needless to say, her answer was yes, and I was so excited! My Grand Opening was scheduled for March 1st at 9 AM so, of course, Caden decided to come on the day I had the most work to do! Regardless, I was on my way to Conway Regional, b/c I wouldn't have missed this for the world. It was an amazing experience for both Samantha's family and for me, as well! They received over 300 photos capturing every moment and every emotion. Finally we narrowed it down to under 50 to use for a promotional slide show on the new website. Caden is also part of another new collection, Precious Beginnings. Soon you will receive all the details on this plan specifically designed to capture all the precious milestones in your baby's first year of life!

I wanted to share some of these photos with you, and let you know to check out http://www.carriejosphotos.com/ and click on the slide show tab to view more images.

These are just a few of my favorites!

Check out the slide show to see more!

Chloe Grace's 1st B-day Party!

These are a few photos I took after the party ended. I think this is going to become a tradition. We released all the ballons after Jackson's b-day party, and he absolutely loved it. As you can see we tried it again with Chloe's ballons. Some may think I go a little crazy with the ballons for my kids parties, however, I totally disagree! It's the easiest decorations ever to clean up. (And the kids love it!) So if you ever come to a party at our house, go ahead and expect a massive amount of ballons.

I had a photographer who came and took photos at Chloe's party. Yes, I did! I tried with Jackson's party to be the mom, hostess, videographer, photographer, and it didn't work to well. My video was filled with people walking (or standing for periods of time) in front of the tripod, and I got maybe 5 or 6 photos I think are great. It was amazing to actually be able to enjoy the party and not have to worry if the memories were being captured. Summer was awesome and got every single photo I would have wanted to take myself. (I am actually IN some of the photos, which never happens!) She also took some family photos before the party because my husband had to work during the party. It was a beautiful party, and now I have memories to look back on years later and think, I am so glad I didn't try to do it all!!
Thank you Summer!

Beauty is in the eye

I made myself take the time today to shoot some photos of things around the yard. While this isn't all of them, I am in need of sleep and will have to put more up later. I just couldn't wait to share. It's so nice to stop everything, take a breath, and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us each and everyday.

Thanks to everyone for visiting.

Have a wonderful day.
